There is a suggested donation to be a supporter of this team which is $375 for the 2011-2012 season. With the donation the junior rider is permitted to ride and race with the team for one year pursuant to the team rules, ride in an environment with coaches that obtain additional education and training as mentioned on the Coaches' page, and receive a team jersey and bib prior to the rider's first team race, along with all the additional items provided by the team at races and rides throughout the year.
Donations help cover costs and expenses for background checks for the Club coaches and ride leaders, wilderness first aid and CPR courses for team coaches, continuing education for team coaches, race entry and registration fees, uniforms, team equipment, training plans and related equipment, food and supplies, travel, and team training materials.
We depend on donations from supporters and substantial donations from sponsors to fund the associated expenses each season for our team. Activities and races attended depend upon the donations received each year.
Also, all riders, coaches, and volunteers must have a (1) SCJCC Release/Waiver and (2) SCJCC Medical Release/Info completed for our team, and both forms MUST be turned into the Director before participating in any team events or rides. For racing, the (3) NICA Release/Waiver for the high school race series and (4) CCCX Release/Waiver for any attendance at that race series must be completed too. All forms are necessary for us to obtain our team liability insurance policies. These forms can be obtained from the Team Director.
