During the 2011 NorCal High School Cycling League cross country season, the Santa Cruz Junior Cycling Composite team finished 4th overall in the League team standings out of 28 teams, and at the State Championships finished 4^th out of 39 teams. The team was extremely consistent throughout the season, also gaining a 3^rd place team finish at the East Garrison race and a 1^st place team finish in the last NorCal League race of the season at the most difficult Boggs Mountain course. In the individual overall standings for the NorCal League, our team placed six riders in the top 10 for their respective categories, two of those in the top 5, and one of those in 2^nd place overall. At State Championships the team put three racers in the top 10, with our top finisher in 4^th place, and we qualified five of our racers for Nationals based on finishing in the top 15 in their respective race.

In the 2011 local CCCX cross country race series in the Monterey Bay the team gained ten individual 1^st place wins, had an additional twenty-six top 5 finishes, and another twelve top 10 finishes. Our top rider, a sophomore, led the team with 1st place overall in the Expert 18 & under category, five individual 1^st place finishes, and also had the fastest race time of the day twice which included all the pro racers attending. Another top racer was 1^st place overall in the Sport 18 & under category, with four individual 1^st place finishes.

In the 2010 fall cyclocross season, our first race of the season was at Fort Ord. In the Junior Men’s race (ages 15 to 18) our team dominated the podium, placing 1^st, 2^nd, and 3^rd. In the 10 to 14 age category, team members placed 1^st and 3^rd in the Men’s race, and 1^st in the Women’s race. The podiums continued throughout the cyclocross race season, with many additional individual podiums.
